BUXTON, N.C. - Warren Robinson Midgett, 78, of Buxton, the husband of Mrs. Annie B. Midgett and a son of Pharoah Farrow and Mrs. Martha Ann O'Neal Midgett, died in a Norfolk hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1965.

A native of Salvo, he lived in Buxton most of his life. He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church. A veteran of WW I & II, he retired from the Coast Guard in 1946 after 32 years.

Besides his widow, he is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Estelle M. Dobbs of Portsmouth and Mrs. I.C. Jennette, Mrs. B.R. Gaskins and Mrs. Calvin Burrus, Jr. of Buxton; three sons: Ralph I. Midgett of Jacksonville, FL, Elmore R. Gray of Porsmouth, and James B. Scarborough of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. Martha Twiford of Elizabeth City; a brother, Graves Midgett of Salvo; 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service conducted Friday in Buxton Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Robert Price, pastor, and the Rev. H.B. Harrell of Buxton Methodist Church. Burial will be in Quidley Cemetery.
