He lived, at the age of 85 (1870 Census), with his daughter Maria Jane Sears and her husband Horace Sears and their family (which also included Eveline B., David's spinster daughter, and Chauncey Sears, Horace's 81 year old father) and their three children, Levant, 17, William, 12, and Addie, 10 in Alto, Kent Co., MI.
