M. L. GILL DIES HERE; FUNERAL RITES INCOMPLETE.

M. L. Gill, 75, retired employee of the Southern Hardware Company for 32 years, died early Thursday. He had been ill for several weeks.

Funeral services are incomplete but will be held under the direction of Peters Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mr. Gill, a native of Lincoln parish, moved to Monroe in 1918 and has resided here since.

He was married to the former Miss Helena Selig of Farmerville.

Mrs. Gill died six years ago.

Mr. Gill is survived by one son, Sidney S. Gill of Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. H. W. McClary, also of Monroe; a sister, Mrs. W. R. Shelton of Ruleville, Miss.; two brothers, R. B. Gill of Memphis, and R. O. Gill of Coral Gables, Florida; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for M. L. Gill, 75-year-old retired employee of a local hardware company, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel.

Officiating were the Rev. W. H. McFadden, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, and Rabbi Jacob Lantz, of Temple B'Nai Israel.

Burial followed in the Jewish Cemetery by Peters.

Mr. Gill, who made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Hugh W. McClary, 1902 Spencer St., died early Thursday after an illness of several weeks.
