Funeral services will be held at Rose Hill Baptist Church, at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Officiating will be the pastor, Rev. W. R. Barefoot. Burial will be in the churchyard under direction of the Mayer Funeral Home.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Altman was born in Williamsburg County, December 7, 1878, and was a son of the late Sam Altman and the late Mrs. Suzanna Hughes Altman. He was reared and lived his adult life in Georgetown County and was engaged in farming and machinist work for the Old Winyah Lumber Company. He devoted the last years of his life to his farming interest. He retired about five years ago due to ill health.
Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Carrie Williams; a son, Kermit Altman of Georgetown; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline A. Green of Lake City, Mrs. Maude A. Crosby of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. Nell A. Paschal of Georgetown; 13 grandchildren; a great grandchild; four brothers, John E. Altman and Ed J. Altman, both of Georgetown, W. Arthur Altman of Hemingway, and James W.
