---RICHARD NEALY ASHBY, 59, Petersburg, Alaska, died Sunday evening in an Olympia, Wash., hospital where he had been a patient six weeks following a heart attack.
---The son of Richard C. and Laura Alice Hutchens Ashby, he was born May 21, 1911 at Grand River, S.D.
---Surviving are a brother, Raymond Ashby, Brookfield, an aunt, Jessie Linebaugh, Brookfield; and an uncle, L.K. Ashby.
---He was preceded in death by his mother, his father and one sister, Maxine Ashby.
---Mr. Ashby was a commercial fisherman in Alaska, where he lived since 1936. He was a former LaPlata resident and a member of the former Wilsontown Baptist Church.
---Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home, LaPlata, with the Rev. Elmo Terry officiating. Burial will be in the LaPlata Cemetery, La Plata, Missouri.
