Samuel ''Uncle Sam'' Horace Jenkins, age 87, died May 11, 1991 in a Sandy, Utah hospital.

Born January 12, 1904 in Midvale, Utah to Samuel P. and Ada Morrow Jenkins. On June 12, 1924 he married Pearl Elizabeth Roper in the Logan LDS Temple. Pearl preceded him in death on April 5, 1985.

Sam was a former employee of KCC for 45 years. He served as ward clerk for the Midvale 2nd and 9th LDS Ward, served as a temple worker in the Salt Lake and Jordan River LDS Temple for over 40 years and was a High Priest in the Midvale 5th Ward. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and square dancing.

Survived by Audrey Bowlden of Midvale and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, brother and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 1991, at 1:00 P.M. in the Midvale 5th LDS Ward Chapel 425 Jackson St. where friends may call Tuesday from 11:45 A.M. to 12:45 P.M. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.

Special appreciation is expressed to the Midvale 5th Ward High Priest Quorum for their care and concern and to Linda Juilo for her special nursing care at Sam's home.
