He was born December 9, 1950 in Breese to Lawrence G. and Dolores (Benhoff) Pingsterhaus. His father preceded him in death and his mother lives in rural Germantown.
He was a Dairy farmer, a Staff Sergeant of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam Era from 1970 to 1972, and secretary of the Hanover Drainage Board.
He married Gerri Diekemper November 26, 1976 at St. Mary Church in Carlyle and she survives.
Also surviving is a daughter Kim (Kurt) Rakers of Aviston; Sons Eric (fiancée' Jacquelyn Korhmann) Pingsterhaus, Brad (special friend Brandy Brendel) Pingsterhaus and Kyle Pingsterhaus all of rural Germantown; Sisters Lois (Stan) Ratermann of Mulberry Groove, Diane (Dave) Lammers of Breese and Donna (Steve) Hilmes of Carlyle; Father and mother in law Joseph and Mary Diekemper of Breese; Brothers in law Wayne (Dorothy) Diekemper , Joey (Mickey) Diekemper, Jerome (Elaine) Diekemper all of Carlyle and sister in law Julie (Dr. Ted Little) of Shelbyville.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by mother in law Lily (Ward) Diekemper, a niece Jennifer Lammers and a nephew Troy Diekemper.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday March 4 at 11 am at St. Boniface Church Germantown with Fr. Steven Humphrey and Fr. Henry Fischer officiating. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
