"Abigail Brooks, married, as above, to Asahel Porter, "both of Salem," Oct 3, 1773 was daughter of Capt. Timothy and Ruth (Wyman) Brooks, of Woburn, where she was born June 18, 1756 and baptized March 20, 1757....As widow of Asahel Porter, killed at Lexington Fight, April 19, 1775, as before stated, she married Ephraim Peirce (son of Jacob) (intention dated Nov 30, 1782.) Peirce died May 16, 1810, aged 52. Her death occurred Jan. 9, 1840 at the advanced age of 84."
