Phyllis Elaine Larson Blackett, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, died March 15, 1992 in Cottonwood Hospital of complications following surgery.

Born November 11, 1909 in Midvale, Utah to John Gothard and Elizabeth Little Larson, married Marx Cazier Blackett June 26, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death October 2, 1979. Member, LDS Church. Graduated from the University of Utah and taught in the Midvale Elementary Schools. She served in various positions in the Girl Scouts Organization and in Pi Beta Phi Mothers Club. Member of the Midvale Ladies Community Club and Willow Creek Country Club.

Survived by two daughters, Ann (Ken) Harris, Salt Lake City; Elizabeth (Richard) Streeper, Dusseldorf, Germany; three grandchildren, Christopher Blackett (Jill) Harris; Elizabeth Ann Harris and Ann Streeper; sister, Lygia Stevenson of Santa Ana, Calif.; and brother, Russell Larson of Hayward, Calif. Preceded in death by sisters, Fern Powell and Helen Bricker.

A viewing for friends and relatives will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday, March 18, 11 a.m.- 12 noon. Graveside services will follow at the Midvale City Cemetery, 450 West 7500 South, at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to American Diabetes Association, Utah Affiliate, 643 East 400 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84102.
