Joseph Kephart Dead
Death takes one of the early settlers of Dillwyn locality. Pneumonia being the cause. Funeral Tuesday afternoon.
Joseph Kephart, a long-time resident of Stafford county died Saturday evening at his home two miles north and one and a half east of Macksville.
Death resulted from pneumonia relapse. Mr Kephart had not been well since he had double pneumonia eight years ago.
Mr Kephart came to Stafford county when a very small boy, the family locating south of the little town of Dillwyn. Joe resided in Dillwyn locality until a few years ago when he moved to the farm near Macksville.
The funeral service were conducted by the Evangelist Ray Waters, an old neighbor, who is holding a series of meetings at Cunningham and Rev Hankins, a former pastor at Macksville. Interment was there in Farmington cemetery.
Mr Kephart is survived by his wife, two children and other relatives. He was the oldest son of Col Henry Kephart.
