Willie was the eldest son of Archibald Skaggs Flournoy and Cynthia Elizabeth Wilkerson. Willie died unmarried at the age of 28 years. His was the first grave in the Flournoy family cemetery located off County Road 284 in Morales, Jackson County, Texas. The second grave was his father, Archibald Skaggs Flournoy.
