Husband #2 James Alexander

Shirley Teresa Gebhart Grier Alexander, 60, of 1211 Centre Road, Woodland Apartments, Prices Corner, died Wednesday of heart failure at home.
Mrs. Alexander had been a florist at Colonial Florist, and was a part time cook at St. Patrick's Senior Home, both in Wilmington.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Wilmington, and ladies auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5445, Holly Oak.
She is survived by her husband, James; two sons, Richard P. Grier and Donald P. Grier, both of Wilmington; four daughters, Juanita Henderson, Patricia Zickgraf, Debra Veasy and Shirley Slaughter, all of Wilmington; two brothers , John Gebhart of Wilmington and Jerry Gebhart of Newark; six sisters, Alice Werkheiser and Betty Spencer both of Wilmington, Catherine Carson of Minnesota, Joan Ciarlo and Janet Quinby,both of Newark and Sue Highcier of Maine; 16 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 15th and King Streets, Wilmington, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Lancaster Avenue.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Patrick's Senior Home or Delaware Hospice.
