Marion L. ‘Buck' Ridge
Marion L. "Buck" Ridge, 77, died Monday, April 7, 2003, at his residence in Indianapolis.
He was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Bloomington. His parents were James and Bertha (McGlothin) Ridge. He married Anna (Lewis) Ridge on May 2, 1947, in Indianapolis. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Connie (Deer) Ash and Brenda Henricksen, both of Indianapolis, and Linda Crandall of Brownsville; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol (Deer) Fidler, on July 14, 1991; and three brothers, Bill, Robert and Richard Ridge.
He was employed by Irvin Block Material in Indianapolis as a block hauler for six years, retiring in 1988. He previously was a block hauler for Franzen Block Co. in Indianapolis for 32 years.
He was a avid motorcycle rider, a member of the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Club and a charter member of the Silver Wheels Motorcycle Club in Indianapolis. He had attended the Sturgis, S.D., motorcycle rally.
The Rev. Marvis Hale will conduct a service at 3 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
