Abingdon, IL - Eddie Lee Hook Schisler, 92, a resident of the Care Center of Abingdon, died at 4:40 am Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Care Center.

She was born on April 7, 1918 in Arlington, Nebraska, the daughter of James M. and Carrie F. (Meador) Hook.

She married Delvin "Jake" Schisler on August 22, 1934 in Monmouth. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1993.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Martin Schisler; one grandson, Delvin Schisler; four brothers, Henry, Howard, Leonard and Herbert; and one sister Bessie Deppe.

Surviving are two sons, Delvin Lee Schisler of Florida and Blair (and Dorothy) Schisler of London Mills; one daughter, Frances (and J. Kenneth) Cecil of Abingdon; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; five brothers, James E. Hook of Abingdon, Robert Hook of Galesburg, John Hook of Gainesville, Texas, Jessie Hook of Galesburg and David Hook of West Burlington, Iowa; three sisters, Betty Phipps of Galesburg, Anna Homer of Monmouth and Donna Gray of Abingdon.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Abingdon most of her life. Her hobby was collecting many things.

Burial will follow in the Abingdon Cemetery.
