Etta Louise Harrison Lail, 84, of Pellcare Nursing Center, died Sept. 11, 1999, at Pellcare Nursing Center after a period of declining health.
Born Dec. 15, 1914, in Wilkes County, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Ida Smith Harrison.
A member of Bethlehem Church of God, she was a homemaker.
She was preceeded in death by two daughters, Linda Lail and Sheila Lail; and a sister, Catherine Helton.
Survivors include her husband, Gaither Lee Lail; six sons, Eugene Lail, Jimmy Lail, and Larry Lail of Bethlehem, Donald Lail of Hickory, Gary Lail of Sherrills Ford and Gwyn Lail of St. Louis, MO.; four daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Fox of Claremont, Mrs. John W. (Doris) Sebastian of Hildebran, and Bessie Holland and Cindy Kelsoe of Bethlehem; a brother, James Harrison of Indianapolis, Ind.; 27 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Howard Smith at 11 a.m. Tuesday at her church.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Hickory Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 tonight.
Hickory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
