The Morning Chronicle Record (Chico, California), Monday, August 31, 1896, pg 3 col 2: Funeral Services. The funeral services over the remains of W.H. Anderson, who died Friday, were held yesterday at the home of Mr. Crowder on Mud Creek. A large number of friends and acquaintances had gathered to witness the last sad rites to the memory of this young man. Rec. C.K. Jenness, of the Fourth Street M.E. Church, preached a very touching sermon, after which the funeral procession formed and the remains were conveyed to the Chico cemetery for interment, many friends following the remains to their last resting place. Thomas Jensen had charge of the funeral.

30-year-old William Henry Anderson was interred, per the Chico Cemetery Association Records, in the plot noted, on August 30, 1896.
