Chico Chronicle Record, Saturday, April 8, 1893, pg 6 col 2: Died. Anderson – In Chico, April 1st, 1893, John Thomas Anderson, aged 34 years, and a native of Missouri. [Mr. Anderson leaves a father, mother, two sisters and eight brothers to mourn his loss. The funeral will take place on Sunday.]

Chico Chronicle Record, Saturday, April 8, 1893, pg 3 col 2: Funeral of J.T. Anderson. The order of K. of P. met in their hall in Chico yesterday at 10 o’clock A.M. and conducted a funeral service over the remains of J.T. Anderson, after which the procession moved for the Broyles cemetery, and arrived there at 2 o’clock, where they were joined by Rev. J.E. Barnes and a large number of friends. Mr. Barnes led in conducting the services at the grave, and the body of Mr. Anderson was laid to rest by the remains of his young wife, who proceeded him on February 20th.
