OBITUARY
"In the midst of life we are in death."
DIED suddenly on the night of the 11th inst. near this place, HANNAH BALDWIN, wife of Uriah Baldwin, at an advanced age. The circumstance of her death is truly alarming--she had enjoyed good health for a long time previous, had that day attended the Select meeting of Friends, returned home and ate supper as usual, and was sitting at a table sewing, about nine o'clock, a part of the family having gone to bed, when, suddenly, she sank from her chair and fell dead. She was immediately lifted up, but life was gone. The deceased was a member of the Society of Friends, and had for many years been engaged in the ministry. On the 13th, being the day of Friend's Meeting at West Grove, the corpse was taken into the house during its sitting, and after a time of deep sorrow and great solemnity, her remains were interred in the bury ground at that place. Centreville (Ind.) Times. (The U.S. Gazette, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 29 Nov 1831, p2)
