ARMSTRONG, William, Armstrong 55 years old, a barber, died late Tuesday of paralysis at his home, 1912 West Forty-seventh street terrace. Surviving are his widow, Mrs Sarah Armstrong, and two daughters, Miss Annice Armstrong and Miss Lucretia Armstrong, all of home; another daughter Mrs. J. A. Tranter, 1929 West Forty-eight street; two brothers, Morgan Armstrong, 201 North Wheeling Avenue, and F. V. Armstrong, Council Bluffs, Ia., and a sister Mrs. Lelia Stadler, Finey, MO. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Friday at the Forster chapel; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. (Kansas City Times, page 7, 21 Feb 1929)
