Myra Rantz, age 90, Sparta, passed away Wednesday, Jul 28, 2001, in Ozark Riverview Manor. She was born December 19, 1910 in Carol County, Arkansas, the daughter or Issac and Nellie Price (Atchison) Jackson. On August 1, 1930, she and Donald Jacob Rantz were married. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was also preceded in death by five infant children, three sisters, a brother, a grand and great-grandchild. Before moving to Sparta the family lived for many years in Reeds Spring. She was a member of Sparta Assembly of God Church. Survivors include four children and their spouses, C.C. & Lorene Rantz and Kenneth and Faye Rantz, all of Kissee Mills, Geraldine and Wayne Ball and Shirley and Dale Finney, all of Sparta, 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and four sisters, Thira Johnson, Springfield, Edith Friend and her husband Wayne, Grand Junction, Colo., Novella Thompson and her husband, Ray and Ernestine McTeer, all of Sparta. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev. Darrell Mead officiating. Burial will follow in Eisenhour Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
