Thira Johnson, age 94, of Ozark, passed away in her home Sunday, December 30 2007. She was born in oak Grove, Arkansas on January 3, 1913 , the daughter of Isaac and Nellie (Atchison) Jackson, She was united in marriage to William Henry Johnson who preceded her in death in 1984.
Thira was a member of Seminole Baptist Church, Springfield, Mo, She worked for many years at Springfield Garment Company, and later for Barkley's Bridal Shop.
Survivors include her son , Lee G. Johnson and wife , Peggy , a grandson, Jeff Johnson, two great grandchildren, Randy and Alexis, two sisters, Novella Thompson and Ernestine McTeer, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2008, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Don Baier officiating,burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Sparta. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
