Obituary: Jefferson City Post Tribune, Friday, January 14, 1994

Orville W. Langdon, 66, Iberia, died Thursday at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia. He was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Roscoe, a son of Fred and Ina Allen Langdon. He was married July 25, 1992, in Iberia, to Lois Kemp, who survives at the home.

He owned and operated a heating and plumbing store in Iberia. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, and was a member and past commander of the Iberia VFW Post 6167 and the Iberia American Legion Post 105.

Other survivors include two brothers, Everett Langdon, Alton, Ill., and Emmett Langdon, Kansas City, and one sister, Lucille Ricker, Dadeville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stevinson-Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Larry Etherton will officiate. Burial, with military rites, will be in the Iberia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to the Hickory Point Baptist Church.
