Columbus, Mississippi - Peggy Irene Burns Bell, 74, died August 16, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi. Mrs. Bell was born January 25, 1931, in Columbus, MS, the daughter of the late: John Lewis and Lillian Mae Oglesby Burns. She married William Leon Bell on January 25, 1963, in Columbus, MS. She was a member of Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was an avid gardener. She loved flowers. She was an accomplished seamstress. She was a bookkeeper with Singer Sewing Machines, Plaza Optical, and New Life Supplies. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her Sister: Ruby Mae Williams and by her brother: Ben Mitchell.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 19, 2005, at 10:00 AM from Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Steve Brown officiating. Body will be at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Friday, August 19, 2005, from 9:00-10:00 AM. Visitation will be Thursday 6:00-8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include Husband Leon Bell of Columbus, MS, 3 Daughters: Susan Wiggins and husband Wendell of Brandon, MS, Sandra Dunnam and husband Bill of Columbus, MS, and Billie Pedigo of Brandon, MS 3 Sons: Louie Wiles of Tuscaloosa, AL, Greg Wiles of Houston, Texas, and Barry Wiles of Louisiana. 12 Grandchildren: Joey Wiggins, Leann Wiggins, Haley Pridmore, Brandon Pedigo and wife Megan, Brett Pedigo, Mindy Wiles, Nicholas Wiles, Chelsea Wiles, Emily Wiles, Wesley Dunnam, Daniel Dunnam, James Dunnam and 3 Great Grandchildren and 1 Brother: Sonny Burns and wife Betty of Columbus, MS.

Pallbearers will be Bill Dunnam, Wendell Wiggins, Tony Smith, Roger Williams, Brandon Pedigo, Brett Pedigo, and Joey Wiggins.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Members of Beersheba Presbyterian Church, and Dr. Brett Brown.
