NORWAY - Roger Casanova, 70, of Norway, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
He was born in Norway on Feb. 24, 1940, the son of the late Mike and Victoria (Cieslak) Casanova.
Roger graduated from Norway High School in 1958 and Northern Michigan University in 1962, with his bachelor's degree in business. He taught business at North Farmington High School for two years before moving back to Norway to run Hall's Hardware Store until he retired in 1995.
Roger married Judy Hall on Dec. 28, 1963, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. He enjoyed his family and going to camp, and playing cribbage.
Roger is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, John (Jodi) Casanova of Breitung Township and Michael Casanova of Norway; step-grandchildren, Kailee and Logan Drake; sisters-in-law, Donna Anderson of Norway, Georgine (Gary) Riley of Oakwood, Ga. and Janet Casanova; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Wallace and Donald Casanova.
Family will greet friends on Tuesday, Jan. 25 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
