Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; lawyer; banker; farmer; alternate delegate to Republican National Convention from Indiana, 1948, 1960; member of Indiana state house of representatives, 1949-54. Member, Beta Theta Pi; Freemasons; Moose; Elks. Died April 10, 1974 (age 54 years, 124 days). Interment at East Hill Cemetery, Rushville, Ind.
