Marlow: Blanche Vetura Couch, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Marlow.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2011, at the First Assembly of God in Marlow, with Bro. Eugene Howeth and Bro. Elwyn Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Blanche was born Saturday, February 11, 1922 in Foster, Oklahoma, to Alford Van Blundell and Kay Blundell. Blanche lived in the Marlow area all of her life and attended Marlow Schools. She married Ray Grice, he preceded her in death. She later married Glendon Rena Couch on July 22, 1974. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1995. Blanche worked as a dry goods clerk at Hicks and Wilcoxsons in Marlow. She also worked as an evening receptionist at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. Blanche was a charter member of the Marlow Samaritans. She was an excellent cook and cooked for the Marlow Lion's Club and the First Assembly of God bean dinners which she helped to organized over 20 years ago. Blanche was a very active member of the First Assembly of God Church. While at the church, Blanche led the women's mission group, cooked at church camps, was a Sunday school teacher and a choir member. Blanche was a quilter and loved to work in her garden and can vegetables. Blanche loved giving of herself and was a lifelong caregiver.

Survivors include,
seven grandchildren, Kathy Wheat and husband Tom of Marlow,
Keith Thomas and wife Tracie of Marlow,
Glen Ray Heffington,
Wesley Ray Grice,
Shannon Grice,
Pam Webb,
Ronnie Brister;
10 great grandchildren, Jenny Kenley, Jodie Shupe, Stephen Thomas, Chad Thomas, Kristi Sanders, Sara Webb, Jon Webb, Cory Brister, Tanner Brister, Matthew Brister,
three brothers, Jr. Blundell, Miles Blundell, Corky Blundell;
sister, Clema Wood.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jessie Grice, daughter, Wanda Mae Grice, two step-sons, Leon Grice, Don Grice, step-daughter, Joyce Grice, three grandsons, Tony Lynn Grice, Brent Grice, Barry Grice, four sisters, Wanda Robinette, Desi, Vivian, and Onie, cousin, Lucy McClendon.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marlow Samaritans.
