She was born in Ephrata, a daughter of the late Ezra P. and Elizabeth (Stauffer) Burkholder. She was the wife of the late James S. Weaver, who died in 1969, and her first husband, Chester M. Burkholder, who died in 1944.
Nora was a member of Springville Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.
Surviving are 3 sons, Walter B., husband of Martha (Good) Burkholder of New Holland, Chester B., husband of the late Esther Mae (Martin) Burkholder of Ephrata, Vernon B., husband of Edith (Stauffer) Burkholder of Ickesburg; a stepson, Lee Weaver of New Holland; 2 stepdaughters, Edith (Weaver) Weaver, Edna (Gingrich) Weaver; a daughter in law, Elva (Martin) Burkholder, wife of the late Delmas B. of Peach Bottom; 26 grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; 162 great grandchildren; 40 step great grandchildren; 34 great great grandchildren; and 42 step great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Delmas B. Burkholder; 3 stepsons, Jesse Weaver, Wayne Weaver, and James Weaver; stepdaughter, Phoebe Hoover; 1 step grandchild; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Frank Burkholder; and 2 sisters, Emaline Felpel and Elizabeth Burkholder.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 8 PM, Sunday, January 23 at Farm Crest Chapel at Fairmount Homes, 333 Wheat Ridge Rd., Ephrata. Funeral services will be held at 8:45 AM, on Monday, from Farm Crest Chapel, with further services at 9:30 AM, at Springville Mennonite Church, Ephrata Township, with Bishop Lester B. Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
