Mr. Martin was a World War II and Korean Conflict ARMY veteran; a retired construction worker; and a member of the V.F.W. and Disable American Veterans.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters: Oleta Conn and Evelyn Turner; and 3 brothers: William Martin, Earnest Martin, and Aubry Martin.
He is survived by 1 son: George Martin, of Booneville, Arkansas; 2 sisters: Lois Blaylock, of Booneville, Arkansas, and Vivian Sternenburg, of South Bend, Oregon; other relatives; and many good friends.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: George Martin, Russell Swint, Carl Uptigrove, Dee Blaylock, and Tommy Blaylock.
Honorary pallbearers were: Logan Blaylock, Brenton Blaylock, Dillon Owens, and Tommy Jay Boyd.
