Elizabeth Love Smith, was born Jun 6, 1878 at West Fork, Arkansas and attended school there. She married Archie Greenville Smith July 7, 1901 in Pitkin, Arkansas and they resided and farmed in West Fork, Arkansas until the 1930s, when they moved to Atwater, California. They purchased fifty acres of peach orchards, where they lived until 1946. They retired from farming and moved to Merced, California where they have since resided. Mrs Smith is survived by a her husband and a son, Mr Kenneth E Smith of San Diego, three daughters, Mrs Roberta Shermer of Fresno, Mrs Margaret Gaither of Atwater and Mrs Helen Couey of Chico and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Conrad A Smith of Atwater.
