SOUTHWEST HARBOR and, INDIANA - Constance J. Robbins, 88, died Aug. 23, 2004, in Indianapolis, Ind. She was born May 5, 1916, in Manset, the daughter of Walter F. and Eva (Mayo) Joy. She worked as a nurse's aide for many years at Mount Desert Island Hospital. Constance was a member of the Manset Union Church, past member of Somesville Eastern Star, past president of Rebekah Assembly of Maine, and a past Noble Grand Rowena, Rebekah Lodge, Southwest Harbor.
She is survived by one son, Eugene K. Robbins and his wife, Debra S., of Greenwood, Ind.; seven grandchildren, James and Patricia, Mark, Stephanie, Connie, Kimberly and Ryan; several great- grandchildren; and two nephews.
Constance was predeceased by two sons, Stephen C. Robbins, in 1994, and Watson Robbins, in 1998; and two brothers, Byron Joy, and Stephen Gordon Joy.
Interment will be at Mt. Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor. (Bangor Daily News 8/25/2004)
