BANIK
Mr. Fritz C. Banik, 70, of 6017 Dexter Avenue, Tampa, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Tuesday in a Tampa hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Chapel of the F. T. Blount Company Funeral Home, 5101 Nebraska Avenue, with Rev. Peter E. Nelson, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Pallbearers will be James Moore, Harley Moore, Earl Downs, Paul Smitherman, Leonard Johnson and Fred Woods. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will be at the Funeral Home Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 o'clock. A native of McLennan County, Texas, Mr. Banik had lived in the Tampa Bay area since 1962. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and of the Rose Club of Tampa. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alice Moore, Tampa, and Mrs. Gertrude Thomas, Panama City, Fla.; one son, George E. Banik, Tampa; one brother, William Banik, Austin, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Helen Kablitz, North East, Pa. and four grandchildren.

Fritz Banik was preceded in death by his parents, August and Augusta Drews Banik; his infant daughter, Lillian Banik; his infant son, Fritz Christoph Banik, Jr., his brothers, Ernest Banik, Albert Banik, and Herman Banik; and his sisters, Ottilie Rolke, Hulda Bluhm, and Frieda Kern.
