Parks William Lemmon, 88, of Adrian RD 1 (Tarrtown) died at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. A retired Coal miner, he was employed by Allegheny River Mining Company. Born March 16, 1881 in Armstrong County, he was a son of Ross and Catherine (Henry) Lemmon. His wife, Ida B. (Tarr) Lemmon, died in 1949. Surviving are two sons, R. Frank Lemmon of Kittanning, Edward C. Lemmon of Adrian RD 1; four daughters, Mrs. Franklin (Dora) Gross of Oakmont, Mrs. Theodore (Alberta) Smith of Clarence, N. Y., Mrs. Lester (Christina) Tucker of Adrian RD 1, Mrs. Steve (Virginia) Denardo of Adrian RD 1; a brother, Wilber Lemmon of Kittanning; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Craigo od Adrian RD 1, Mrs. Andy (Julia) Mansfield of Kittanning, Mrs. Charles (Ada) Taladay of Cadogan, Mrs. Hazel Harmon of Kittanning; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A son, Clifford Lemmon and a daughter, Edna Scardina are deceased. LEMMON – Friends of Parks W. Lemmon, 88, of Adrian RD 1 (Tarrtown) who died April 30, 1969 will be received at the Merwin – Kennedy Funeral Home, Kittanning, where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday (May 2, 1969) with the Rev. Daniel P. Abrams, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. Arrangements by Merwin Kennedy.
