~0bit~Jessie Ellen Cook, daughter of Enos and Eliza Cook, was born April 18, 1878, and died of that dread disease, consumpution, September 26, 1899. Father, Mother, six sisters and four brothers mourn her loss. She was of a kind and generous temperment, and bore her suffering with great patience, and expressed a willingness to go whenever the summons should come. By her special request, the writer conducted the funeral at Troy Mills, assisted by Rev. W.E. Ross. Hundreds of neighbors and friends testified by their presence to their esteem for the deceased and the family.
