He is the son {1919-1967} of Mr. Merle Lee & Mrs. Viola Jean {Kugler} Copeland of North Orange Street in Peoria, Illinois, and he attended Peoria H.S. His parents were married in Kahoka, Missouri on July 30, 1942. He leaves two brothers, Jerry of Peoria, and Terry of Macomb, Illinois.
