Born November 18, 1871, near Strawberry Point, Iowa, she was married to William Charles Cook, who died in 1932. Surviving are three sons, Martin Henry Cook, of Monticello, Robert Frank Cook of Center Point, and Walter Herman Cook, of Coggon; two step-children, Mrs. Leslie Steele of LaClair, and Carl Cook of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Hoppes of California. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Troy Mills Methodist Church in Troy Mills. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery. Friends may call at the Murdoch Funeral home in Walker after 1 p.m. Sunday.

The daughter of Herman and Bertha Buehrer Marquardt, she was born November 18, 1872 at Strawberry Point, Iowa. On March 14, 1906, she was married to William Charles Cook. Mr. Cook passed away in March 21, 1932. Surviving are three sons, Martin of Monticello, Robert of Center Point and Walter of Coggon; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Leslie (Mellie) Steele of LaClair, Iowa; a step-son, Carl E. Cook of Chicago, Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Mary Hoppes of California; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
