Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Walker Bible Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Murdoch Funeral Home, Walker. The Rev. Don Henderson will officiate. Burial: Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills. Survivors include four children: Joe Cook and wife Clara of Center Point, Eileen Serbousek and husband Clarence of Robins, James Cook and wife Betty Lou of Hiawatha, Ann Techau and husband Bob of Hiawatha; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Martin and Robert Cook; a half brother, Carl Cook; a half sister, Mallie Steele; and twin great-granddaughters. He was born September 2, 1913, in Spring Grove Township to William and Anna Marquardt Cook. He married Ann Marie Rabik in August 1935, in Linn county. They later divorced. He was a farmer and later was a Laborer Local Union No. 43. Walter was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2272 and Moose Lodge No. 304.
