Lewis Robert Cutler, 96, of Main Road, a veteran of World War I and a retired 14-year employee at Jones Division in Adams, Mass., died Saturday in a nursing home in Williamstown, Mass.
He retired in 1960 and previously was a self-employed sketch maker for several years and operated his own shop in Adams.
During World War II he was employed at the former Hunter Machine Co. and the former Arnold Print Works, both in North Adams, Mass.
Born in North Adams, he attended North Adams schools and lived in Stamford since 1936.
He was a veteran of World War I and served in the Army with the 301st Ambulance Corps.
His wife, the former Ethel Fairbanks, died in 1979.
He leaves a daughter, Marjorie E. Cutler, with whom he made his home
