Pooler, Mrs. Dean N. Holland, 76, died on Sunday, December 7, 2003 at her home.

Born in Bulloch County, Mrs. Holland had lived in Pooler for many years where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rothwell Baptist Church where she had been the Church Secretary for 30 years and a member of the W.M.U.

Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Holland, Sr. and a daughter, Vicki Holland.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Garbett of Green, New York; sons, Danny Holland of Bloomingdale, Bruce Holland and Emerson Holland, Jr., both of Pooler; step-daughter, Diane Holland of Virginia; sisters, Neva Akins and Sara Nell Barfield, both of Statesboro; brother, Earnest Newton of Statesboro; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6:00-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at the funeral home.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 in the Chapel of the funeral home.

Interment: Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.

Remembrances: Rothwell Baptist Church, 216 Rothwell Street, Pooler, GA 31322 or to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
