Clara J. Lambrecht Baker, 94, of Topeka, died January 17, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
She was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 13, 1916 the daughter of Nicholas J. and Josephine A. (Ingenthron) Baum.
Clara was a bookkeeper for Falley's Grocery prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Women's Club at the church.
Her family and her faith were her life. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Clara married John P. Lambrecht at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on June 22, 1937 he preceded her in death June 7, 1953. She remarried Robert H. Baker at Holy Name Catholic Church on February 28, 1962 he preceded her in death August 27, 2009.
She is survived by a son Francis J. (Susan) Lambrecht of Sioux Falls, S.D, two daughters, Theresa A. (Marvin, Sr.) Renyer and Margaret M. (Norman) Renyer both of Topeka. Sixteen grandchildren, fifty-five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, several step great grandchildren and several step great great grandchildren also survive.
Clara will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
