Born to Curtis L. and Mary Florence "Floe" Mackey Angst, he married Sondra Ainsworth on Sept. 20, 1977. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Leroy of Havana, Patrick of Toledo, Ohio, and Adam of Peoria; one daughter, Mrs. Jon (Katherine) Kastendick of Ponca City, Okla.; and six grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death.

He owned and operated K&E Liquor Store in Havana.

He was a member of Havana Church of Christ. He also was a member of Havana Optimist Club, Ducks Unlimited and Havana Chamber of Commerce.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
