William was a son of Anthony Arnold, Jr. and Frances "Fanney" Leatherwood and married in 1808 to Narcilla Buckingham, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was appointed administrator of his father's estate in October, 1823. William was the father of Mary, Rachel, William, Burgess, Rebecca, Samuel, Anthony, John, Owen.and James. William wrote his will in January of 1832 and noted his nine children and that his wife was pregnant at the time (Son, James, was born later in the year). He also noted a legal interest in his mother's property, which he designated for two of his sons. He died four months later.
