Sergeant William W. McQuatters of the Columbia police department received word yesterday of the death of his mother, Mrs. Martha McQuatters, which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. E. Rawlinson, near Eastover. Mrs. McQuatters was 86 years of age. She dies at 4 o'clock yesterday morning. The funeral will be held today. Mrs. McQuatters is survived by three sons and five daughters as follows: A. J., W. W., and E. K. McQuatters of Columbia; Mrs. F. B. Austin and Mrs. H. L. Baxter of Columbia; Mrs. G. S. Rawlinson of Eastover; Mrs. H W. Carnes of Bishopville, and Mrs. Arthur M. Reams of Horrell Hill. © The State, Columbia, SC, 8 Jan 1913
