BIRTH: Her name and birthdate appear on "a xerox copy of a typewritten copy of a handwritten copy of what purported to be an exact copy of 'Uncle Dominicus Carter's records.'" The list has her birth date 10 Mar 1869. Her LDS Church Membership record has the same date.

DEATH: Her membership record gives her death date as 5 May 1881, the same date as her brother Ilas. The problem is, there was a newspaper notice about his death and if she had died on that date too the article would certainly have reported both deaths. Perhaps there was a mistake made on her membership record. With so many Carter children to keep track of, that wouldn't be hard.
The book "Carter Pioneers of Provo Utah" (which has A LOT of mistakes) page 226 has: "Ruth F. Carter b. 10 Mar 1869 d about 1870."

She is probably buried in an unmarked grave in the Carter family lot of the Provo Cemetery, but I haven't found a burial record. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
