BERTHA MAY COATES at age 91, peacefully flew to heaven on the wings of angels to be with Jesus and her precious loved ones, on January 10, 2011. She was born April 2, 1919, in Richond, CA, to Dan and Sylvia Osborn. A few years later she was joined by June Osborn Emslie (deceased). Bertha married Leonard Coates and for 51 years they enjoyed a wonderful life together. They owned Arrowhead Glass and Mirror in San Bernardino before retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Church of Christ on Mt. View in San Bernardino. She loved to golf at Arrowhead Country Club, where she was a member for many years. Bertha will be missed by many nieces and nephews, Sherri Emslie, Dan Emslie, Bob and Judy Coates, Rita and Phil Wood, Rod Hopkins, Marsha Coates and Lee Coates. She also cherished her nine great nieces and nephews, and a host of great greats. Please join the family Monday, July 17th, 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. for a Viewing at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington, Colton, CA 92324. A celebration of life will be held Tues., January 18th at 2 P.M. at Montecito. Graveside Services will be held privately for the family members. Everyone is invited to join us after the celebration service at Ramrod Senior Park, 1010 Terrace Road, San Bernardino/Rialto in the clubhouse.
