Smed Evilsizer died of a heart attack at his home on North Walnut at eleven o'clock Saturday night. Smed had spent the day up town apparently feeling as well as usual. He ate his supper Saturday evening, read the papers, and listened to the radio. At about ten o'clock he and Mrs. Evilsizer prepared to retire. Shortly after they had gone to bed, Smed was seized with a heart attack. Dr. Claude Duckett was summoned, but before he reached the home our townsman had passed away.

The body was taken to the River Funeral Home to be prepared for burial. Funeral services were announced to take place at the River Chapel at two thirty o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. James of the local Methodist Church will conduct the service. Following the service interment will be in the Lake Cemetery. He will sleep beside the grave of his late wife.
