Born in Chicago, Ken was raised in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, graduating in 1957 from Central Catholic High School. He attended St. Meinrad College where he earned his A.B. degree (1963) and a M.A. in Theology at the University Notre Dame (1967). He had been an instructor at Seton Hall University and was the Director of Religous Education at several Catholic schools before working as a computer specialist with the Department of Defense. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of Nativity Catholic Church. He was active at the Indianapolis Senior Center and taught computer classes there. Survivors: wife, Kathleen M. Allen; children, David P. Allen, Sarah J. Allen, Rachel A. Olnick and Rebekah M. Walker; sisters, Ruthann Martin and Sister Judi Roberts SP; brother, Donald Allen and eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted January 19, 2011 at Nativity Catholic Church, Indianapolis.
