Clarice C Clark was born June 30, 1895 on a farm in Jewell County, Kansas to James Clark and Lyddie Bell Blaylock Clark. She was one of nine children. She died suddenly on May 30, 1984 at Lebanon, Oregon. Clarice married Harley Joe Renschler on March 25, 1912 at Nelson, NE. That marriage ended in divorce in 1917. Two sons were born to that union. The first William Frederick Renschler was still-born on July 24, 1912 at Bonner Springs, KS. The second, Merion Eugene Renschler was born March 1, 1915 at Warwick, KS.
On October 7, 1918 she married William Campbell Bugg at Hastings, NE. They were married for 56 years, one month and one day until his death in 1974. To that union five childrn were born; Edith who died at the age of 21 months; a son who died at birth in 1920, Leona in 1922, another son who died at birth in 1926 and Billie in 1929.
The Bugg family moved from Hastings to Juniata in 1929. Clarice lived there until failing health forced her to sell her home in 1975 and move to her daughter, Billie, in Sweet Home, Oregon.
Clarice loved gardening and alway had a large flower garden and many house plants. She worked very hard to support her family, in the early years as a cook in restaurants, and then on the assembly line at the Hastings Naval Ammunition Depot.
She was survived by her son Bud Renschler, two daughters, Leona Cummings and Billie Crabtree, one sister, Dorothy Jessie of Lebanon, OR, 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
