John Lepisto and 3 other iron ore miners were killed in the North Lake Mine (not the Empire Mine) when the bucket they were riding in fell 360' down the mine shaft. (Source: Marquette County Coroner's Index). He was buried at Michigamme, Michigan on 19 Oct 1910. (Source: Michigan Death Certificate). Unfortunately, there are 2 cemeteries in Michigamme and I haven't been able to learn which cemetery he may be buried in.
