Amanda was the 2nd child of Micajah and Mary Matilda (Crow) Stallings, and their first daughter.

There were four Stallings and four McKinney siblings who married each other.

Lizzie, as Amanda was called, married Elisha Edward "Ed" McKinney in 1893.
Greenberry Stallings (her brother) married Sarah Rebecca "Sadie" McKinney in 1894.
Dica "Dissee" Stallings (her sister) married Loranza Theodore "Dode" McKinney in 1893.
Lucy Matilda Stallings (her sister) married Henry John McKinney in 1903.

Lizzie and Ed raised a family of six girls.
Lizzie's cause of death was "intestinal obstruction from strangulated hernia".
