Services for Afton Leone Pearson, 96, of Milburn, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Orr Funeral Home in Arlington. The Rev. Rocky James and the Rev. Charles McKenzie will officiate. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery. Mrs. Pearson died at 8:55 p.m. Sunday at Mills Manor Nursing Home in Mayfield. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton.
Surviving are one daughter, Iva Flood of Mayfield; four sons, Aubert Pearson of Arlington, Emmitt Pearson of Dublin, Milton "Bubby" Pearson of Milburn, and Homer Pearson of Mayfield; one sister, Lillian Bailey of Chicago; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Pearson; one son, Rufus Pearson; two granddaughters; three sisters; and two brothers. Her parents were Bunion and Ella Burgess Brower. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 this evening.
